17 May Newbie's Blog: An honest look at Grab

Now, as you probably know, I've written a few articles and sharings about Grab. I'm not advocating it, it's just that I want to share my journey with choosing a stock.

This means not only sharing the good things, but the bad as well. It definitely didn't help last night when$Grab Holdings(GRAB)$fell lower (not its lowest) on 16 May 22 and stayed there ($2.58). I think the median price, previously at $3 is going lower. It definitely is not a good sign.

I also wrote about why I don't think it's Fintech venture has been properly rolled out despite being told that it would roll in Q1 this year. I've shared that it's Fintech platform is limited and much is to be desired, especially the logging in portion. See below for its limited options.

That said, it is too early to give up and I await the earnings report on 19 May 2000hrs. I've often wondered whether there will be some profit where previously I highlighted that I was looking for lesser losses.

While my risk and holdings are mitigated, money spent on Grab is still opportunity cost lost. I feel a bit impatient and I want to see results, but it's share price, amidst the bad economy, is a bit disappointing.

Nevertheless, I will stick to my plan to continue with this stock until I am disappointed with the returns. Why? I want to see it succeed as its Asia's biggest, if not only, superapp (I stand to be corrected).
