(2) 5 July, Tue, 8.30am-The S&P Global PMI Singapore JUN
(3) 5 July, Tue, 12.30pm SG time (Aus Interest Rate Decision)
(4) 5 July, Tue, 1pm-Retail Sales MAY
(5) 14 July, Thu, 8am (SG GDP Growth Rate). Note: Decrease in growth = Higher recessions risks โก๏ธ POV of investors = Increased fear, Action = Sell โก๏ธ Portfolio more redโผ๏ธ

QN: Why is it important for me to be aware of Aus interest rates when Iโm only trading in the US & SG markets ๐ค?
ANS: All stock markets are inter-related due to the POV & Actions of investors who trade across multiple markets. Once 1 market starts to dip, other markets will usually follow unless in special circumstances.
โก๏ธ Even though US hasnโt announced their huge 0.75% rate hike, STI was already taking cue from Aus market & started declining. In fact, the decline after 7 June is WAY LARGER than the decline after 15 June as most investors have already sold their shares to take profit or to prevent/cut loss๐ต๐ป๐ค๐

๐ค My trading strategy for July:
(1) Sell recession-affected stocks that are in green (Ideally will sell during mini buy-rallies but breaking even is ๐ enough as I can always buy back later when thereโs recovery signs & prices are low);
(2) Hold my dividend stocks & stocks with strong fundamentals that are in red until storm โ๐ช๐ is over; &
(3) Look for recession-resistant stocks to buy๐ต๐ป
