You can Buy them Cheaper than Warren Buffett did
4 of $Berkshire Hathaway(BRK.B)$recent purchases are in the red today, and you can have them cheaper than Warren Buffett did if you buy them now. Will you buy them?
Berkshire paid an average of about $35 per share for HP, compared with its latest price of $26.45. One may now acquire shares of the giant manufacturer of PC and printers at just 3/4 the price Warren Buffett had paid.
Berkshire also forked out around $58 a share for Citibank, versus a current price of $47.25, representing a 19% lead over Warren Buffett if one were to buy the shares of this global bank now.
Berkshire paid an average of about $32 a share for Paramount, against $22.61 last traded, representing a whopping 29% discount for the parent of CBS currently.
Lastly, Berkshire appears to be in the red in its holding of Activision Blizzard, which it bought in the first quarter of this year at around $80 a share, against the latest price of about $75.04 on heavy bet that Microsoft's announced deal to acquire the videogame maker for $95 per share would eventually gain regulatory approval and materialize.
Warren Buffett is a long-term investor and is known to hold for decades if not forever the stocks of companies he believes are undervalued. Now that these shares are even more deeply undervalued, is now an opportunity to ride on Warren Buffett's convictions? Of course, one will need to have a deep pocket and holding power like Warren Buffett does in order to be able ride through the storm for the long-haul, and enjoy the fruits when their values are unlocked finally if ever.
Alternatively, we could simply acquire a bit of Warren Buffett's holdings by buying a slice of Berkshire Hathaway, whose share price would also reflect the ups and downs of his recent purchases.
