1. $Pilbara Minerals Ltd(PLS.AU)$ - quarterly update boosted rally

Pilbara Minerals boasts of possessing the world’s biggest and independent hard-rock lithium operation in Western Australia’s Pilbara region.

$Sayona Mining Ltd(SYA.AU)$ is an emerging ASX lithium share with projects in Quebec, Canada, and Western Australia.

Pilbara Minerals and Sayona Mining has benefited from a large increase in the lithium price.

In addition to the soaring lithium, $Pilbara Minerals Ltd(PLS.AU)$ quarterly update boosted this week’s rally.

Pilbara Minerals’ production, sales volumes, lithium prices, and unit costs all improved quarter on quarter.

For the three months ended 31 December,

• Pilbara Minerals delivered a 10% quarter on quarter increase in spodumene concentrate to 162,151 dry metric tonnes (dmt).
• In FY23, Pilbara Minerals is projected to generate 75 cents of earnings per share (EPS), according to Commsec.

Macquarie reiterated its outperform rating and $7.50 price target. This implies potential upside of 72% for the Pilbara Minerals.

Citi highlights the company’s impressive cash generation and retained its buy rating and lifted its price target to $4.80.

2. $Telix Pharma(TLX.AU)$ - turn to positive cash flow

Telix Pharmaceuticals, a radiopharmaceutical company, develops molecularly targeted radiation (MTR) products for cancer and rare diseases in Australia, Belgium, Japan, Switzerland, and the United States.

It released its latest earnings.

• Q4 Revenue of $78.2M (+41.4% Q/Q).
• Net operating cash flow improved by $6.9M over the prior quarter to a $1.6M inflow for the quarter.
• Cash receipts from customers were $72.2M, up 62% from $44.5M in the prior quarter.

Telix Pharmaceuticals announced this week that unaudited revenue for its Illuccix, a prostate cancer scanning imaging agent for the U.S. market, was A$76.8 million in the fourth quarter of 2022, up 43% (in Australian dollars) from the third quarter. Since the launch of Illuccix, total revenue has reached A$149.7 million.

The growth in Illuccix sales resulted in an increase in net cash flow from operations of A$6.9 million in the December 2022 quarter, the first time the company has recorded a positive quarterly cash flow.

3. $Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corp(FPH.AU)$

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Corporation, together with its subsidiaries, designs, manufactures, markets, and sells medical device products and systems worldwide.

It also provides its products for use in acute and chronic respiratory care, and surgery, as well as the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in the home and hospital.

The Fisher & Paykel Healthcare released the medical device company’s FY 2023 guidance this morning.

According to the release, the company expects full year operating revenue for the 2023 financial year to be within the range of approximately NZ$1.55 billion to NZ$1.60 billion.

While this will be down slightly on FY 2022’s operating revenue of NZ$1.68 billion, it still beated the expectations.

4. $SUPER RETAIL GROUP LTD(SUL.AU)$

Super Retail Group Limited engages in the retail of auto, sports, and outdoor leisure products in Australia and New Zealand.

Australian consumer confidence jumped 5 percentage points in January, the largest monthly increase since April 2021. The process of raising interest rates has been temporarily suspended because the Australian Federal Reserve is not meeting this month.

A survey released Tuesday showed that Australia's consumer confidence index climbed to 84.3 in January, still below the 100-point, indicating that pessimism is still much higher than optimism. The bank's chief economist Bill Evans urged caution about the improvement, noting that the Australian Federal Reserve has not "clearly decided" to suspend tightening policy.

In addition, the company was sued for undepaying workers this week.

Federal Court would hear of “serious contraventions” under the Fair Work Act against Super Retail Group relating to alleged underpayment of staff.
