Actually consumer CPU market is not Intel’s forte; enterprise CPU is more sticky for Intel. But Intel’s main problem is never about the CPU losing market share to AMD, but its foundry losing massive money and STILL lagging behind TSMC by 2-3 generations due to weak mgmt. Even Intel’s lunar lake and arrow lake has to be fully outsourced to TSMC for mass production.
@Dick Elinor:$Intel(INTC)$ I know $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ ’s been making waves and stealing some of Intel's market share, but honestly, I still think Intel has the upper hand in the long run. The sheer size of the consumer market means there’s room for both CPU giants to coexist. Sure, the spotlight's on GPUs right now, and everyone’s chasing those, but I still believe in Intel’s fundamentals. They’ve got the experience, the infrastructure, and let’s be real, their position in the market is hard to beat. The company’s debt isn’t that high, so they’re not in a dangerous spot, and that gives me some confidence. I’ve decided to take a small position in Intel, betting on a potential rebound.
While you are right that SMCI are customers of Nvidia, Nvidia has a HUGE bargaining power over its customers; simply because demand is way higher than supply. Supply is so tight to the point Nvidia gets to allocate its gpu to whoever they want - be it SMCI, Dell, HPE, gigabyte, or even ODM such as Foxconn, Quanta, wiwynn etc. so now since SMCI is failing, Nvidia just reallocate the AI chip intended for SMCI to other OEM. I dont see anything wrong. And the origin of this article is from bloomberg//@Skysoul:Smci are customers of Nvidia , this article Is saying the other way round . Is this article ai generated validated ?

$Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing(TSM)$   Practically nobody is valuing TSMC using DCF. And the silly assumption of 20% growth is far short of consensus despite the insane AI trend.  Author is just evaluating TSMC with numbers on paper without truly understanding the company's fundamental and economic moat. 18x forward PER is SUPER cheap compared to semi monopolies such as Nvidia and ASML.

Nvidia’s GTC Event Day 1…. nothing exciting lei :(

Nvidia's GTC Technology Conference (GTC 2024) kicked off yesterday, highlighted by a keynote from Jensen Hwang spanning roughly two hours. With over 300,000 registrations (including online) and 10,000 attendees in the audience, this highly anticipated event rivaled the excitement of a Taylor Swift concert in Singapore! Ironically, Jensen Hwang began his address with a humorous remark, quipping, "Today is not a concert," despite his rock star appearance in a leather jacket. In the keynote speech, Nvidia unveiled its next-generation Blackwell accelerated GPU computing architecture and the upcoming B200 chipset, specifically tailored for AI and data-center acceleration purposes. However, aside from the debut of the Blackwell chip (which is already widely anticipated), there were no major reve

Brookfield is buying Optus for A$18bil from Singtel? Its too good to be true lah!

$Singtel(Z74.SI)$   Yesterday, Australian Financial Review reported that Singtel might be selling its subsidiary Optus to Brookfield. The potential deal is estimated to be worth around A$16-18 billion; and the reported news suggest the discussions are progressing well, and Brookfield might involve another company as a partner for the acquisition. Shortly after, Singtel dismissed the media reports that it is looking to offload Optus. From its announcement: “There is no impending deal to offload Optus for the said sum, as reported. Optus remains an integral and strategic part of the Singtel Group and we are committed to Australia for the long term.” A$16-18 billion valuation for Optus sounds too good to be true

Do not panic! Palo Alto’s loss is CrowdStrike’s gain!

$CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc.(CRWD)$  In my previous post on Tiger Broker about CrowdStrike (CRWD), CRWD’S share price was around $260. Since then, it has skyrocketed to over $310, representing a nearly 20% gain in less than two months! At one point, CRWD’s share price even hit above $330! However, cybersecurity stocks, including CRWD and ZS, took a hit recently after Palo Alto Networks (PANW) issued lower-than-expected guidance and blamed "spending fatigue" in the industry. This pessimistic outlook caused CRWD and ZS shares to plummet over 10%, while PANW itself experienced a staggering 28% drop. PANW is not the same league as CRWD! Recent guidance from Palo Alto sparked concerns about a potential downturn in the cybersecurity sector. However,

CrowdStrike: Striking back at other cyber security stocks?

$CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc.(CRWD)$ $Nasdaq100 Bull 3X ETF(TQQQ)$    One of the sectors I favoured in 2023 was Cybersecurity, from which I gained substantial profits using passive ETF such as CIBR and investing in individual stocks such as ZS, NET, and CRWD. Currently, while CrowdStrike (“CRWD”) appears costly at first glance, its trading valuation aligns reasonably well with similar companies when considering growth factors. CRWD is quite likely to experience a significant increase over the next few years due to its growth potential and strong fundamentals. Reacceleration of Endpoint security demand CrowdStrike continues to hold a strong position among cloud-native

Own house got mortgaged but Manager say duno?? | EC World’s woes continue!

Yesterday, EC World REIT announced in SGX that three of its properties have been mortgaged without the consent or knowledge of its manager. OMG! Forchn Holdings, sponsor of EC World Reit, plunged the company into turmoil by secretly mortgaging key assets to secure financial aid from the Fuyang government without informing the REIT manager. The manager of EC World Reit said in a SGX filing those three properties – Fuzhou E-Commerce, Fu Heng Warehouse and Hengde Logistics – were mortgaged to two Fuyang government-linked entities in China. These funds – approximately 268.6 million – were provided to Forchn as arranged between the Fuyang government and the sponsor. The Manager added that EC World REIT was not aware of and did not consent to the arrangements, and have formally condemned the mor

Adam Khoo says he is done with China market. Should you?

$Alibaba(BABA)$  Recently Adam Khoo made a video on his YouTube channel expressing his frustration on the latest gaming restrictions released by the Chinese government on Dec 22. He also said that he has sold all his stake in Tencent during the selldown, and will eventually sell away all his China holdings. Quite surprised that Adam Khoo, the guy who preachs not to listen to headline news, was spooked by Western media into selling. He didn't even give Tencent a chance to explain itself. What are the facts? From the actual facts I gathered: - NPPA (National Press and Publication Administration) made another announcement on Dec 23 that it will listen to feedbacks from all stakeholders and improve the rules. Also to not

Public Transport Fares Hike 7%, SBS to benefit?

$COMFORTDELGRO CORPORATION LTD(C52.SI)$  The Public Transport Council (PTC) has announced that bus and train fares will increase by 7% from December 23rd, 2023. This is lower than the 12% increase that would have been applied under the revised fare formula introduced in April 2023. The maximum permissible fare adjustment for the current review is 22.6%, which takes into account the 10.6% increase that was deferred from the 2022 fare review exercise. The increase is mainly due to rising energy costs, core inflation, and wage growth. SBS and SMRT are expected to see their annual revenue increase by S$20.9 million and S$42.4 million respectively. The Public Transport Council has required that SBS and SMRT contribute 1

Alibaba's share price to take a hit as AliCloud leadership abruptly changes

$Alibaba(BABA)$  As per the official announcement made on 10 September 2023, Alibaba has successfully executed its planned leadership transition. Joseph Tsai has assumed the role of chairman and Eddie Wu has taken on the responsibilities of CEO and director within the company. What came as a surprise was the decision by Daniel Zhang to step down from his positions as chairman and CEO of Alibaba Cloud. Eddie has temporarily taken over these roles. Looking ahead, Daniel Zhang is poised to establish a technology-focused fund, supported by a substantial investment of USD1 billion from Alibaba. His goal is to foster a more robust ecosystem for Alibaba's technological endeavours. Abrupt management change reflects badly on
