Shared a post here on CDG yesterday and as expected it dropped to S$1.24, more than the dividend payout . Not much people read it, guess most people are resting and taking a break lol... My guess is SG market should see a small rebound over the next two days. After which it seems likely to continue dropping towards the end of August before it will start going up again. I'm thinking of doing a bit of day trading on the SGX stock. Keeping my fingers crossed, and hope I'm correct about the market outlook.
Forgotten ex blue chip stock that could be bullish If you live in or have been to Singapore, you surely would have heard of this company called $COMFORTDELGRO CORPORATION LTD(C52.SI)$ (CDG) and most likely had either flagged or booked a cab from them, or took other forms of public transport (eg. bus or train) provided by its subsidiaries. CDG is one of the largest global land transport operators with leading operations in Singapore, Australia, and the UK. The company is transforming itself to stay competitive in the point-to-point (P2P) market in Singapore with the introduction of its ride-hailing app, Zig. It has also embarked on multiple initiatives to turn its business segments green, such as provision of
I'm thinking maybe I'll want to read a novel by Philip Pullman called "His Dark Materials". I was very much fascinated by the movie The Golden Compass and then learnt that the movie was based on a book called Northern Lights which is the first book of a trilogy. The second book is called The Subtle Knife followed by The Amber Spyglass. But sadly, the movie producers did not continue filming the rest of the two sequels. So I guess I'll have to read the actual book, the trilogy. Not sure if anyone here have read these the books lol.
I have $Apple(AAPL)$ shares and rabbits eat apples. May this Rabbit year be a good year for $Apple(AAPL)$ . Wish everyone a prosperous new year. Gong Xi Fa Cai. [Great] [Great] [Great]
A new year comes with new hopes Stocks to watch in 2023 would be stocks which are closer to home, stocks like staples and travel-related stocks But not to over-invest as recession has been anticipated to be coming soon, which could see US and Europe getting very heavily affected Could see a small rebound in the short term before it starts going down again Asian stocks such as Hong Kong or even SG should be relatively safer compared to stocks in US or European markets Best stocks to hold at this stage would be banks as they benefit most from the interest rate hikes If in doubt of what to invest or simply want to hold back and see how this recession fears might turn out, another great investing idea would be the 6-month Singapore Treasury Bills It provide very high short term returns, which
I use Facebook and Messenger daily. Not really sure why Meta's fell so much. Meta and other social apps actually can't really make much money on their own. They depend heavily on advertising for revenue. With the recent economic weakness and rising inflation, I suppose a lot of changes have been made by companies to cut costs and advertising would be one of the first few.
Put half of the money into Singapore Savings Bonds (SSB). SSB rates have gone up to more than 3% already. If the stock market goes down further, just withdraw and buy stocks. Put the other half into high yield retail bonds that can be as high as 6% such as $Astrea7CLB620527#(V7BB.SI)$ . The combined returns would be easily more than 4.5% which I think would be a very good way to get high returns. SSBs are 10 years, but you can withdraw anytime. The Astrea VII 6% bond is into 2027. The combined returns of more than 4.5% easily beat inflation rates on the average and you can hold it for many years too, if no plans to invest the money elsewhere. This returns will also beat the 4.0% returns in CPF SA Account. Good returns
$Apple(AAPL)$ I guess this is the most promising tech stock at this time of the year now. Dec should be a very good month for Apple as it is Christmas time. Sales of their iPhones, iPads, MacBooks should spike when more and more people buy them to give away as Christmas gifts. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and holding my hopes up for this coming December. I plan to sell my Apple shares when the prices go up. [Happy] [Happy] [Happy]
$Apple(AAPL)$ Market seems to have turned bullish. Hope that the worse is really over by now. I would love to see my portfolio finally turn green. It seems like permanently red shortly after I started investing in the US market. Would be good to see something different. Apple is the only US stock I'm holding now, so I'll be rooting for Apple to be bullish in this coming week. Hopefully the economy will start picking up and we won't go into a recession.
I was told that the stock market usually goes up whenever there is an election in US. If that's true, I think $Vanguard S&P 500 ETF(VOO)$should be bullish
$YANGZIJIANG SHIPBLDG HLDGS LTD(BS6.SI)$ My friend recommends that I buy this, saying it has a good chance to exceed $1.40 by 1st quarter next year. Not sure if I should follow. Seems to have gone up a lot already recently.
$NIO Inc.(NIO)$ Bad macroeconomic conditions plus China's zero covid policy isn't helping things. Looks like it'll continue to drop further. Time to take a breather to prevent catching falling knives.
