Timing Or Ticker? Which Is More Important?

🌟🌟🌟📮📮📮Warren Buffett believes that it is far better to buy a wonderful company at a fair price than a fair company at a wonderful price.  This highlights the importance of choosing high quality companies.  So Ticker is of significant importance in investing.

Choosing the right Ticker or the right stock to invest is the first step to successful investing.    How to choose the right Ticker?  To me it has to tick the core fundamentals of profitability, strong balance sheet, an excellent management team and have a wide moat.

Next comes Timing.    The best time to buy is when there is Fear in the market where quality stocks are oversold and undervalued.  Good examples are the Chinese stocks like $Alibaba(BABA)$  $TENCENT(00700)$  or even $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$  which has breached below  its USD200  mark.

Timing the market is an impossible task that not even the experts can get it right 100% let alone small investors like me.  It is Time in the markets that is more important.

For example$Alphabet(GOOGL)$  All Time Low was a mere USD 2.49 per share in 2004 and its All Time High is now USD 155.20.  Just last year Google went down to as low as USD 88.86 but has since recovered and almost doubled.  This is due to its dominance in the Search Engine market with over 92% globally.  It is also very much into AI and has greatly benefited from the surge of AI Stocks.

I kept faith with Google when it dipped below USD 100 per share as I believe in its future growth.

Timing or Ticker? Which is more important?  To me it is Ticker first followed by Time In the markets.  Both are like the Yin and Yang of Investing.

Choose the right Ticker first and then buy and hold it long term!  That is the winning formula for Successful Investing!
