Will NVIDIA surpass Apple market value? If yes, when will it be? Interesting topic!
As we all know, Nvidia has already made a dent in the market for AI inference chips. AI inference chips bode well for the company's future considering the massive opportunity in this space. The stock is trading at attractive forward multiples even though it has surged significantly in the past year. The company is getting a nice chunk of its revenue from a fast-growing niche in the AI semiconductor market.
The semiconductor giant not only crushed Wall Street's expectations handsomely, but it also guided strongly for the current quarter, suggesting that its artificial intelligence AI-fueled growth is here to stay.
Not surprisingly, Nvidia stock soared impressively following its earnings release. Nvidia's graphics processing units (GPUs) shot into the limelight once it was evident that they are playing a mission-critical role in training large language models (LLMs), which form the backbone of popular generative AI applications such as ChatGPT. Multiple cloud service providers have lined up to get their hands on Nvidia's GPUs to train their AI models and bring generative AI services to the market. As a result, Nvidia controls a whopping 90% share of the AI training chip market. Nvidia's earnings and revenue are set to increase rapidly in the coming years.
On the other hand, Apple iPhone sales in China declined by 24% over the first six weeks of this year, pushing it to fourth among smartphone vendors in the country. The iPhone has struggled to replicate its usual success in China, in part because of wider market malaise.
For such, I think that it is just a matter of time for Nvidia $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$
How do you think?
