A Bag Holder Forever, Will Top Glove Ever Recover?

🌟🌟🌟Will $Top Glove(BVA.SI)$ ever recover from its past glory as one of the hottest stocks in the Singapore Stocks Exchange?  Will I be a Bagholder of Top Glove Forever?

Due to the Covid Pandemic in 2019 and 2020 there was high demand for gloves amid a global glove shortage.  As the pandemic subsided the entire glove industry including Top Glove was left with excess production.

I am still holding on to Top Glove all this while and hoping for a rebound.  It is due to loss aversion bias as we feel our losses more than our gains.

However there are valuable lessons to be learnt as a Bagholder for me.

1.  When the markets are feeling exuberantlh bullish, it is important to exercise caution.  FOMO or Fear of Missing Out may result in HODL - Holding on for Dear Life!

2.  Never average down on a losing stock

3.  Cut losses quickly

4.  It is good to learn the basics of chart patterns

5.  Invest in ETFs rather than individual stocks to diversify my portfolio and minimise my risks in investing in single stocks.

That is why I don't jump into what is sizzling hot but rather go for plain vanilla ETFs and Thematic ETFs.  Investing is a marathon, not a sprint.    Slow and steady is my style.

As Warren Buffett likes to say "The stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient." It is Time in the market that counts, not timing the market.

A Bagholder Forever? Which Stock May Never Recover?
Which of your stocks may never recover? Let's talk about your longest-lasting "losing-friend". For example, those bought First Republic Bank and Silicon Valley Bank during the bank run; Or those who participated in the 2021 short squeeze battle by buying GME or AMC; (GME is about to release earnings this week) Or perhaps those who bought Vinfast at its peak last year? ---------------- Which stock is your longest losing friend? Share your bagholder experience together? What lessons do you get from these stocks?
