the company saw potential in certain businesses (eg. WhatsApp) and bought them over. in a way, it's crucial to own businesses which in the long run will propel to the next level.
though there were red flags on which their tactics were questioned...
important to always not get too involved in these platforms and only for moderate use.

๐๐๐I believe that $Microsoft(MSFT)$ will be the big winner this week. Analysts expect Microsoft to post earnings of USD 60.9 billion revenue and USD 2.83 earnings per share. These figures would put Microsoft's year over year growth at 20% and 27% respectively.
Investors will be focusing on the key drivers of Microsoft's growth especially its Cloud Segment and AI.
Microsoft's cloud makes up almost half of its revenue stream. Azure grew 20% from previousyear in the last quarter.
Microsoft has invested about USD 13 billion in Open AI which is the creator of ChatGPT. Microsoft has recently unveiled its Co Pilot for security, bolstering its Cybersecurity business.
Performance wise Microsoft is only up 0.37% today and has risen 10.3% year todate. However in 2023 it has risen 48% overtaking $Apple(AAPL)$ as the most valuable company in the US with market capitalisation of USD 3.04 Trillion.
Wall Street Analysts are bullish on Microsoft with a Buy rating, Target price of USD 477.41, an upside potential of 16%.
Microsoft is scheduled to report its Q124 earnings on April 25. I am keen to find out whether Microsoft can meet or even exceed Analysts 'expectations and its forecast for the rest of 2024.
