Is the Summer Pullback Starting?

Welcome to Thursday Special![LOL]

August is here, and historically, it's the time when the market takes a breather. The popular belief? Professional investors are off enjoying their summer vacations. 📉

Just yesterday, the $S&P 500(.SPX)$ tumbled 1.39% and the $NASDAQ(.IXIC)$ dropped 2.77%. On the bright side, consumer staples were up 1.29%, but technology took a hit, falling 3.89%.

With the U.S. election heating up, chip stocks crashing, and Q2 earnings season kicking off, there's a lot shaking up the market. 🌐💼📉

Do you think the pullback has begun?

So, based on this year's trends, what do you think is causing this pullback? 🤔

Share your wildest theories and let's brainstorm! 🧠💡

My proprietary analysis suggests that two key figures, Trump and Powell, are exerting significant influence on the market dynamics. However, I'm still trying to discern whether their actions are complementary or counterbalancing, essentially creating a push-pull effect on the markets.
Trump's unorthodox approach to policymaking and his penchant for surprise announcements have created an environment of uncertainty, leading to market volatility. Meanwhile, Powell's careful management of monetary policy and his commitment to data-driven decision-making have instilled a sense of stability, but also created market expectations that may be difficult to meet.

The interplay between these two influential figures has created a complex market dynamic, making it challenging to predict the direction of the next market move. I'm closely monitoring their actions and statements to better understand the potential implications for the markets and adjust my trading strategy accordingly.

The rising semiconductor AI stocks group has experienced a big retracement. If you look at the performance of the past week, funds have obviously moved from big technology to interest rate cut concept stocks and Trump MAGA concept, including real estate, small and medium-sized stocks that have fallen deeply, and transmission. Everyone will feel pain if this falls mainly because funds are concentrated in semiconductors and big technology.

In TSMC's financial report today, basically no one is optimistic about TSMC's performance. Indeed, the stock price has risen a lot. ASML will help everyone calm down after the financial report, but the fundamentals still determine the stock price in the long run.

Summer Pullback is definitely here! The stock market is taking a breather because professional investors are off to vacations. Tigers, do trade with caution. Research properly before any trade to buy the dip because as the summer slump is here, the market may struggle to lure fresh money to push it higher.

Lately, markets somewhat "excited" by various news. Pullbacks or corrections are opportunities to buy but have to trade cautiously with limited funds.
