Ferrari’s New EV Looks Like a Tesla That Learned Italian Hand Gestures

Ferrari just unveiled its first fully electric car, the €550,000 Ferrari Luce — because apparently what the world really needed was a luxury EV that looks like a Tesla Model 3 went to finishing school in Milan.

Investors were so “inspired” by the reveal that Ferrari shares immediately dropped nearly 8%. Nothing says confidence like shareholders hitting the eject button faster than the car hits 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds.

Designed with former Apple design legend Jony Ive, the Luce proudly abandons Ferrari’s muscular styling heritage in favor of what critics describe as “Honda Accord EV meets Tesla.” Somewhere in Maranello, an old V12 engine is probably crying into its motor oil.

Ferrari insists this is not just another EV. No, this one comes with:

- 1,000+ horsepower

- 310 km/h top speed

- Five seats

- Enough trunk space for golf bags

- And a specially engineered amplified electric humming sound, because rich people apparently need Dolby Atmos for silence.

The company spent five years and 40,000 km perfecting the EV’s “acoustic character,” which is corporate language for:

“How do we convince Ferrari owners that microwave noises are emotional?”

Ferrari executives say the Luce is “not a response to change,” but a bold vision for the future. Translation: “Please stop asking about China EV competition and shrinking luxury demand.”

Meanwhile, Lamborghini delayed its EV because even they looked at the market and said:

“Yeah… maybe billionaires still enjoy hearing engines.”

Ferrari’s strategy remains the same:

Build fewer cars, charge absurd amounts of money, and convince customers that waiting lists are a personality trait.

To be fair, the specs are insane. The problem is that when people spend half a million euros on a Ferrari, they usually expect the car to scream.

Not whisper like an expensive Dyson vacuum cleaner.
