$Petroleo Brasileiro SA Petrobras(PBR)$  tracks the price of$Light Crude Oil - main 2301(CLmain)$  (wti) whereas the other oil companies are mostly boosted by warren buffett like $Occidental(OXY)$  . you can compare the other oil companies with wti as well as pbr with wti. 

let's examine wti, the recent price weakness caused pbr price to be under pressure. short volume is in the high 40 to 50%. the support at 82 was breeched and resulted in heavy selling of pbr. coupled with the downgrades by ubs and goldman sachs. now it is at the lower support zone of 71. there was strong buying for pbr during the previous trading session when it fell to 9.56.

judging from the strong buying support last night, it is a safe zone to add pbr if you have holdings and buy some if you don't. with the possible cut in oil production, wti price will be supported. that will counter the predicted weak oil demand.
