SEA needs to juggle their priorities carefully, a fine balance is needed between sacrificing profits for growth. They cannot depend infinitely on Garena for cash. They can keep trying stuff like holding events, form collaborations to promote the game, coming up with new updates and versions etc. But ultimately, Wild Fire will become history just like many of the most popular games in the past such as Diablo LOD, C&C Red Alert, World of Warcraft, Maplestory, Ragnarok or even ROTTK. How many active daily players are these games seeing compared to their peak periods in the past? Garena may have to come out with another new game soon.  SeaMoney is still loss making and competition will be very intense in this FinTech sector. More and more digital banks and online payment systems

SEA may need to relook at its business model, although a successful one may not work well in another country. Additionally, the background of the company and its founder is closely related to China, where SEA became the scapegoat when there was a political "crossfire," India as an example. The stiff competition among other E-commerce and gaming platforms further hurt the revenue and thus the profitability (although it suffered losses for many quarters).

Long term play$Sea Ltd(SE)$is a promising company. And their main market is in a rapidly growing one compared to the already matured market the US is. And what makes them unique is the 3 different pillars they have which is gaming, e-commerce and digital banking. If they can leverage these and scale, they might be a powerhouse of the future. However, being a growing company, they needto grow market share and create brand stickiness. This they try to do with their Shopee brand in e-commerce. They have strong competition though from Lazada and not forgetting powerhouse Amazon as well as Mercado Libre. It is not a secret however that they are not profitable yet and rely on their cash cow Garena to keep up with their cash burn.

Wall Street: Bullish Bets on the Rise, All Headwinds may Priced in Already

In the options market, the relative cost of a protection contract aginst the $S&P 500(.SPX)$ fell another 10% has plummeted to its lowest level since 2017.Source from bloombergThe appetite for bullish bets is rising. While stock indexes have fallen to bear market lows, the $Cboe Volatility Index(VIX)$ volatility index is well below multi-year highs. It follows a historic stock market rout that has wiped out $13 trillion in market value this year, driving both retail and institutional investors away. Hedging against slumps and pessimism is rapidly becoming obsolete,That's not to say traders

Probably the strange plunge is due to Garena's slowdown. They can't depend on Garena to fund their growth forever.  Sooner or later, they would have to start getting some breakeven or  profits from Shopee. Their cash cow won't last forever.  It could also be some bigger investors losing confidence and finally deciding it's time to let go.

$Sea Ltd(SE)$I selected Bullish is not for this year.  It is for year 2023/2023. As you had heard new that Temasek Holdings have added ~ 0.2mil shares to take its total stake in SE to 2.75mil shares, which is worth ~US$170 mil. I am confident that the price will go up soon. If you never own any SE share, you can buy and keep for long term like 2-3 years. I am sure the price will go up more than $100 by that time. Give me a like if you support me.

$Sea Ltd(SE)$Your growth and expansion should be in proportional or in substantial.... But sea expanded in very fast (fat) pace, in the end could not survive........ They recruited in blind 👁️ 👀 manner during covid lock down period( one way I appreciate them for providing jobs to those who retrunched during covid lock down)....and I came to know that they have paid them also in good which lead to loose in very fast manner....so to cut cost recent retrunchment n closure of some shopee in overseas lead to ,10% plunge if I'm not wrong....

$Sea Ltd(SE)$ Chief executive Forrest Li said in an internal memo sent to staff that the leadership team has decided that it will not take any cash compensation "until the company reaches self-sufficiency". "With investors fleeing for 'safe haven' investments, we do not anticipate being able to raise funds in the market," Mr Li said, reiterating that the company's primary objective for the next 12 to 18 months is to achieve positive cash flow as soon as possible. Li has finally realized that the previous approach of burning excessive cash is not working! But better be late than never! The good news is Sea has sufficent cash to sustain itself in short to medium term as it has raised about US$6.3 billion of cash when the shar

$Sea Ltd(SE)$Strange plunge might be attributed to options puts and calls automated stop loss perhaps. Sea is a tech stock weighing heavily on forward PE for their valuation. With current market conditions Shoppe's valuation will be low for quite some time just like other tech stocks. Too bad SEA is not quite on par with the rest of the big players like amazon or alibaba.

Sea is part of technology sector and is not unscathed by this year's downside rout from inflationary pressures, but the big 10 pc drop is probably one-time gapdown as the stock markets jittered once again.
