Good time to buy US Treasury after pullback?

The Treasury's auction of 30-year bonds on Thursday went about as badly as it could, indicating investors are reluctant to own long-dated treasury bonds. After the pullback, the current prices of bonds have also reached a relatively attractive level. For example, bond ETF TLT at $84 will be a bottom in the long term. ---------------- Good time to buy US Treasury after pullback? Will you allocate US treasuries in your portfolio?

The recent pullback in Treasury prices has led to higher yields, making them more attractive to income investors. Higher yields also mean potentially higher returns if you hold the bonds until maturity. Some economists expect the US economy to slow down in 2024, which could lead to increased demand for safe-haven assets like Treasuries. This could further push up prices and yields. However, the US government is approaching its debt ceiling, which could lead to another political showdown and financial uncertainty. This could further negatively impact Treasury prices. In my opinion, the relative risk to reward favours entering into treasury at the present moment.

The allure of current yields on US Treasuries presents an enticing prospect for investors seeking stable returns in a landscape marked by volatility. Traditionally viewed as a safe-haven asset, Treasuries often attract investors during periods of uncertainty. The rising yield adds an extra layer of appeal, especially when compared to alternative investment options. However, the decision to invest in US Treasuries is not solely contingent upon attractive yields. The Federal Reserve's role and its benchmark interest rates inject a critical dimension into this calculus. With rates hovering at its current levels, there is a need to balance between central bank policy and bond market dynamics. The convergence of rising yields and Fed rates underscores the central bank's commitment to

How could Apple Benefits from AIGC?

Although $Apple(AAPL)$ did not publicly announce its AIGC plan, but CEO Cook mentioned that the company is investing heavily in it. Ready For The Election Year?

The US economic cycle is not a straightforward transition from slowdown to rapid acceleration, but rather a delay in the cycle, a mismatch of different stages, and temporary deviations due to unexpected events. Currently, the market's expectation for a "soft landing" of the US economy depends on whether there will be a further expansion of credit. United States GDP Growth RateThis depends on whether the current tightening measures are sufficient to erode new demand and interest payments on existing debt, and whether any unexpected events can change the direction of this tightening. The difficulty in continuing to implement policy support due to the upcoming election year makes it challenging to implement fiscal policies. The slow contraction of the US credit cycle is due to the fact that th

US Treasurys have not been so popular for a long while. Does this mean that the Treasurys are suitable investments for every portfolio? Let's explore on. Firstly, to the uninitiated, US Treasury bonds are low risk, fixed income securities issued by the US federal government. Given US reputation as a world leading economy, the federal government would do all it can to repay the debts.  Having said that, low risk does not mean no risk. The 🌎 is constantly revolving. There are signs of dysfunctional US government. With US supporting both Israel and Ukraine wars, US war funding has continued to balloon 🎈 in the face of ever increasing deficit to $1.695 trillium in fiscal year 2023.
