Do You Trade Stocks for Breaking Even or Making Money?

Most investors starts stock trading to make a profit, but during actual operations, many investors may gradually shift their focus to breaking even. However, the stock market doesn’t always go as planned, especially when facing market corrections or personal operational mistakes, which may lead to losses.

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ trade to make money better than saving in bank
$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ the main goal to trade is to make profits. If a trade is not going your way, it does not mean the trade is wrong. Close the trade and take a loss if the rules you took to open the trade no longer applies. Waiting to break even to close might not come in a very long time and the money could be used in another trade.

Yes the ultimate goal is to have  winning trades for investors and traders. However, it is always not as easy as it seems to be...however prepared you are... Stock analysis and technical analysis can assist with the decisions made but the datas are mostly historical and technical analysis are just tools to assist in the decisions made... Stock market performance is dynamic and that the stocks may go in a certain direction counter to the analysis. So my two cents worth is that we must always trade with caution and not be greedy to over 'indulge' with money that we do not have in hand. Trade with caution and if possible do dollar cost averages whenever possible in steps that can be managed. I always do this whenever there is an opportunity to do so... So in summary, yes I do DCA and di

**Strategic Approach to Minimizing Losses** While many investors enter the stock market with the goal of making a profit, the reality of market fluctuations often leads to a shift in focus towards simply breaking even. This approach isn't about abandoning the pursuit of profits, but rather about adapting to market conditions and protecting capital, especially when faced with the unpredictability of market corrections or personal missteps. A strategic way to manage this is by using options and dividends to create a cushion against potential losses.$Manulife(MFC)$ $MFC 20240621 19.0 PUT$  **Covered Call Strategy for Steady Returns** One effective method I've employed is buying stable

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ Trade in stock is to make money, generally is to invest in company's that gives good return in dividends than putting money in bank for that tiny interest. Breaking even to protect your principal is a way to reinvest in stock with better potential. No one wants to lose money .
$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ It's the only stock other than $Virgin Galactic(SPCE)$ that I had the biggest loss. Nonetheless Tiger Broker stock is always 20-40cent in play. It's great for day trader. well I did recoup some losses from studying the trend. NFA
$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$  There is always something to worry about .. Your success as an investor depends on your ability to ignore the worries of the world long enough to allow your investments to succeed.

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ Hahaha... of is making money, the initial and ultimate objective, but sometimes or many Times, we did not perform or the market did not perform as we wish. So to speak, when we are fear, break even is better losses. Do u agree guys 😜💸💰💵
$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$ I've been thinking about this whole "breaking even" mentality that seems to creep up on many of us. It's like we're playing a game of limbo, trying to get our stocks just high enough to avoid the dreaded red numbers. But let's be honest: who just wants to break even? Isn't the whole point of investing to make a killing? Investors start with dreams of yachts and private islands. But then reality kicks in, and they’re like, “Maybe just a paddleboat and a sandbar?” Suddenly, breaking even becomes the Everest of financial goals. 🏔️ Suggestions for Sanity: Breathe — It’s just money. Unless you’re Scrooge McDuck, in which case, swim away! Diversify — Like a buffet—try a bit of everything. Stocks, bonds, unicorn tears. Lea

$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$  I've been reflecting on my journey as an investor, and it's interesting how my goals have evolved over time. Initially, like many others, I started trading stocks with the clear objective of making a profit. However, as I gained more experience and faced the realities of the market, I noticed a shift in my focus towards just breaking even at times. Several factors contributed to this change: 1. Market Volatility (or manipulation???): The unpredictable nature of the stock market has often challenged my strategies. During market corrections or downturn experienced in early August 2024, my priority shifted to minimizing losses rather than chasing gains. 2. Psychological Factors: The fear of losing money can be quite powerf
