I don't like betting on designers as you can never know who is better positioned for the next generation of chip designs. But manufacturing is more straightforward and predictable. Capabilities are known. TSMC manufactures 90% of all advanced chips in the world and the only other company with that capacity is Samsung. But Samsung is also a chip designer therefore competitors usually don't like working with it. So TSMC has a huge moat around it.
