My favorite footballer is Steven Gerrade. He was born on May 30, 1980 in Whiston, England. He was soon discovered by the local Merseyside football club, Liverpool FC. Few would have anticipated the dreams this wonderkid would bring alive once he stepped to the field. And HE was the guy who made me fall madly in love with football, a bond that never mind what circumstances may come, I will never dream to break. It was 2011, I played FIFA for the first time and I can swear I hardly knew who Messi or Ronaldo were then. The first mode I played was a career where I randomly picked a player from a random team. Fortunately, as I recall that now, the random team turned out to be Liverpool and the player, Steven Gerrard. I then began watching soccer in real life and followed Liv

By using new energy instead of traditional energy we would significantly decrease the current levels of greenhouse gas emmissions, and this would have positive environmental impact for our entire planet. New energy energy is not all about environement as it can also give strong boost to our economy in form of new jobs. Thus, new energy forme. I think near-term headwinds persist as $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$  faces problems related to raw material procurement and the logistics. The strong U.S. dollar also doesn’t help a company that generates a significant percentage of sales overseas and a substantial ramp-up in production in the country. Commodity inflation has been shrinking the automotive gross margins of Tesl

I recommend $Pilbara Minerals Ltd(PLS.AU)$.Pilbara Minerals shares are up more than 500% over the past five years. buoyed by record high lithium prices that have accelerated through 2022, and which are seemingly immune to wider fears of a global recession. The ASX lithium stock owns a 100% interest in the Pilgangoora Project in Western Australia, one of the largest hard rock lithium deposits in the world. During market corrections, selling off your investments might seem like a good idea. Negative news such as a pandemic, an asset bubble that’s about to burst, scams being revealed, etc., can influence any investor. The key thing to remember is that fear leads to panic, especially among amateur investors. This panic often makes investor sell their investments at low prices during a stock market crash. But historically, markets have always recovered from a crash and instead of selling in a panic, WE should just stay calm. If you manage to continue investing irrespective of market conditions, you will reap the rewards when the markets recover at a later date.

U.S. stocks and bonds rose Wednesday, following a surprise intervention from the Bank of England in the bond market. All three major U.S. indexes were higher a day after the S&P 500 reached a fresh low for the year, with most of the S&P 500's sectors in the green. Retail investors continue to be interested in shares of Apple and Tesla. And analysts are eying a weakening yuan. The BoE action boosted U.K. bond prices, and briefly jolted the pound higher. Benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury yields briefly topped 4%, then dropped after the BOE move.@Daily_Discussion

Investors are betting on a big Republican wave in the midterm elections. If Republicans take at least one chamber of Congress in Tuesday's midterm election, that will likely result in more gridlock, which the market usually loves. According to data from Edelman Financial Engines, the S&P 500 had an annualized return of 16.9% since 1948 during the nine years when a Democrat was in the White House and Republicans had a majority in both chambers of Congress. That compares to 15.1% during periods of full Democratic control and 15.9% in years when there was a unified GOP government. Investors are more than happy when politicians bicker but don't actually enact any new laws that may hurt corporate profits. @Tiger_chat

Ford shares dropped 12.3% Tuesday after the vehicle maker issued a profit warning for its third-quarter results. The stock was the most-active stock on the S&P 500 -- and its worst performer, according to Dow Jones Market Data. It posted its worst one-day percentage decline since a more-than-13% drop in January 2011.The company said vehicle parts supply shortages would weigh on earnings, as it expects inflationary pressures to add about $1 billion to previously expected supplier costs. Ford now anticipates third-quarter adjusted earnings before interest and taxes to come in between $1.4 billion and $1.7 billion. The preannouncement from Ford came after a high-profile profit warning from FedEx, which sent stocks lower last Friday.Ford's shares closed at $13.09 apiece, down about 37% for t

"One Up on Wall Street" is the friendliest and most approachable book on investing I've read. It's a mix of general investing philosophy, personal anecdotes and specific strategies for choosing, buying and selling stocks. Lynch writes about his frequent missteps with regret but also the humor and perspective of one who has learned from his mistakes. Many investing books are written by authors who present themselves as ingenious laser-visioned mavericks who have reduced investing to a perfect science. Lynch, on the other hand, makes it clear that he's a rather normal person for the most part, and fully capable of misjudgment. He never tries to sell you on an 'infallible method'I'd recommend this to newer stock market investors.@TigerEv

My mosr view stock in 2022 -$Costco(COST)$ . Costco’s business model is one that should thrive during good times, when consumers have extra money in their pockets to spend, and bad times, when they shift focus to saving cash and hunting for deals. The retailer is known for offering some of the best products at some of the best prices. The catch? Costco charges an annual fee that, I estimate, accounts for over half of the company’s operating profit. Costco is, therefore, a rare case of non-tech company that runs a subscription model. The recurring revenue flow coupled with the countercyclical features of the business makes COST a good stock to own through a period of economic contraction and/or lingering inflation. The ASEAN Football Federation was founded way back in 1984 (12 years before the first AFF Championships) at a meeting of half a dozen nations (Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines and Thailand) in the Indonesian capital. Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar & Vietnam joined in 1996 with Timor-Leste following in 2004 and Australia becoming the latest of the dozen member nations in 2013, but they are the only member nation yet to have featured in the AFF Championships. For just the second time Brunei will compete in the finals of the AFF Championships (2022 AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup)after storming to a 6-3 aggregate victory over Timor-Leste in the qualification playoffs. Their only previous appearance came way back in the inaugural edition in 1996 where they won one of the

The retail giant posted healthy profit and revenue beats Tuesday morning, while standing by its forecast for the second half. Earlier disclosures set the stage for the results. Last month, Walmart warned its profits would be squeezed as customers, dogged by sky-high inflation, sought out bargains on lower-margin items such as groceries as they shunned more profitable discretionary items like electronics. The retailer, like others in the space, has had to work through a glut of excess inventory, too, as shoppers changed their behaviors. Earnings aren't the only big news for Walmart this week. On Monday, the retailer announced a deal to offer the Paramount+ streaming service, home of "Paw Patrol" and "Star Trek: Strange New Worlds," to Walmart+ subscribers.

Caterpillar's rising stock helped push the Dow higher Thursday after data showed third-quarter U.S. GDP rose more than expected. Tech stocks generally didn't fare as well, weighing on the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite. Under the surface, things were even rockier. Meta Platforms’ shares plunged 25% after it reported disappointing results. Meta’s tumble continues a terrible stretch for the FAANG stocks, which are headed for the biggest simultaneous drops this year in history. There may be more bumpy trading ahead: Amazon.com, which reported earnings after the close, plummeted 20% in late trading after cutting its sales outlook @Daily_Discussion

If the CPI report surprises to the upside like the January jobs report did, it will further dash hopes for a more dovish central bank in the latter part of 2023. Worse, rising interest rates raise the possibility of a Fed-induced recession. The CPI will need to show markets that the Fed's plan and actions are coming to fruition. If inflation starts trending upwards again, the Fed could be forced to alter its path. @Tiger_chat

A slew of technology and retail stocks made the biggest moves during midday trading Thursday. Salesforce — Shares of the cloud-based software company slid more than 9% after the firm announced the sudden departure of co-CEO Bret Taylor. Costco – Shares of retailer Costco shed nearly 6% after the company reported softer-than-expected sales figures for November that could signal a weak consumer heading into the holiday shopping season. Okta — The identity management software provider's stock surged more than 23% after the company shared a better-than-expected outlook and topped Wall Street's estimates for the recent period. Dollar General – The discount retailer saw its shares drop more than 8% after posting earnings for the latest quarter than fell short of analysts' expectations by 21 cent

Investors should brace for another turbulent year in the financial markets, economists have warned as central banks fight inflation, China reopens its economy after Covid-19 restrictions and the Ukraine war pushes the global economy towards recession. The first half of the new year is likely to be choppy, according to Wall Street predictions, after global markets suffered their biggest fall since the 2008 financial crisis last year. But the US S&P 500 is still expected to end 2023 a little higher than it began the year. The average target of 22 strategists polled by Bloomberg has the S&P 500 ending 2023 at 4,078 points – about 6% higher than it ended 2022. Economists predict the US Federal Reserve will slow its interest rate hikes this year, as the outlook for America’s economy sou
