I like to use Moving Averages (MVA) to determine the current trend of the stock I am interested in. I like to compare the 50 day MVA and the 200 day MVA.  I look for Golden Cross if I want to buy.   A Golden Cross happens when the 50 day MVA crosses above the 200 day MVA,  creating a BUY signal.    Conversely,  if I want to sell,  I look for Death Cross.   This happens when the 50 day MVA crosses below the 200 day MVA, creating a Sell signal. However for these indicators to work effectively,  they should be accompanied by high trading

Yayayaya papaya//@koolgal: After 14 years of holding BYD shares, Warren Buffett has just sold his shares and this has caused a huge sell off.  I believe Warren Buffett is taking profits and redeploying his funds to other companies that he believes in that is selling below their intrinsic value.  Warren Buffett is an astute investor with a Midas touch.  He has made a huge profit from his disposal of BYD shares.Is BYD a buy now?  The current share price is HKD 242.20,  down 7.91% since yesterday.  I believe the sell off will still continue for the next 1 to 2 weeks.  If it dips below 200, then it looks very attractive to buy. BYD ticks all the core fundamentals of a quality stock.  &

Yayayaya papaya//@koolgal: I believe the Bearish sentiments in September will continue in October.  However not all sectors are adversely affected.  Sectors like Consumer Staples and Healthcare will fare better than the volatile Tech Sector. It is prudent to allocate some funds into defensive sector like this to ride the volatility ahead.  With high inflation and rising interest rates hikes it is important to stay invested.  You never know when the markets will turnaround. Thanks @Capital_Insights for your excellent and comprehensive insight into October.@Capital_Insights
