@fluffik:Netflix is doing a stage play of Stranger Things. They are milking Stranger Things for every dollar they can, as they should. The problem is, it highlights just how important name brand content is, especially as prices will have to go up for streaming services. Disney, Comcast/Universal, Paramount, Warners/HBO max, all these companies have multiple name brand properties that are known worldwide, whether it's Marvel or Star Wars or DC or Harry Potter or Fast &Furious or even Top Gun. These types of properties continue to bring in dollars through multiple revenue streams forever. Reed Hastings should have realized this earlier and spent more money to buy existing properties, much like Iger bought Lucas and Marvel and Pixar. I have been expressing my reservations on the rally which just seem weird with the divergences and a technical picture which does not seem to tally. And the noise from some of the 'experts' were ridiculous (seriously are they trying to drive up the market so that their big organisations can quietly unload their positions to the retailers? Just saying in jest and not to be taken seriously of course). When I refer to experts I am talking about mainstream experts who appear on financial news and websites from big organisations. @nickname168:If the CPI report surprises to the upside like the January jobs report did, it will further dash hopes for a more dovish central bank in the latter part of 2023. Worse, rising interest rates raise the possibility of a Fed-induced recession. The CPI will need to show markets that the Fed's plan and actions are coming to fruition. If inflation starts trending upwards again, the Fed could be forced to alter its path. @Tiger_chat
