Not really. The past few months have shownthat solid earnings doesn't result in upward movement much. Yes it might outperform the peers in a few trading sessions, but the gain is nothing. Whereas in the point of time when the market is upbeat due to favorable news related to rate hike, the increase is way more than that from a positive reporting session.

Baba is cheap based on all matrix. BUT it sits within multiple traps from everywhere. China government cracked down, China-US relationship, and increased competition all scared investors away from them. Their stock never able to breakout and sustain. The price has hovered around $80-$90 for a few years now. Each time it breaks through $100 (and recently touched $120) it comes crashing down in coming sessions. I was an investor but I have since sold off all my holdings. I will not come back to baba (or any Chinese stocks) anytime soon.
