While the size of Beijing’s planned fiscal boost remains unclear, media outlet Caixin reported that China may raise 6 trillion yuan ($846 billion) from ultra-long special government bonds over three years as part of its efforts to boost the sputtering economy.

Following the central bank’s easing steps in late September, investors have been clamouring for the government to bolster fiscal spending. It rose 1.9% on Monday. A gauge of Chinese shares listed in Hong Kong slipped 1.28%.Volatility has gripped the market in recent sessions as investors assess the sustainability of the stimulus-driven rally that began late last month. While the size of Beijing’s planned fiscal boost remains unclear, media outlet Caixin reported that China may raise 6 trillion yuan ($846 billion) from ultra-long special government bonds over three years as part of its efforts to boost the sputtering economy.Following the central bank’s easing steps in late September, investors have been clamouring for the government to bolster fiscal spending. Officials promised new measures to support the property sector and hinted at greater government borrowing at a weekend briefing, without giving an amount.A divide is growing among global investors as the rally shows signs of cooling. Morgan Stanley Wealth Management warned that investors should steer clear of soaring Chinese equities as the stimulus measures won’t be enough to repair the struggling economy. Alibaba Stock Outperformed Recently

Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) investors are waiting for its upcoming earnings release with bated breath. As a reminder, Alibaba's fourth fiscal-quarter earnings release is expected to be delivered on May 14. BABA stock has surged well above its January and April 2024 lows as renewed buying vigor returned to Chinese equities recently. Further buying momentum from institutional investors could drive BABA and its leading peers higher, as bullish investor positioning remains relatively light. Coupled with BABA stock's reasonable valuation and its fundamentally strong business model, it could attract value and momentum investors to add more exposure.

I provided a bullish BABA update in my previous article in early March 2024. BABA has significantly outperformed the S&P 500 (SPX) (SPY) since then. As a result, it underscored the strength of BABA's consolidation thesis above its $65 support level. Consequently, BABA demonstrated its ability to clear that level decisively and staged a pivotal higher-low price structure relative to BABA's October 2022 lows ($55 level). Alibaba Stock Outperformed RecentlyAlibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) investors are waiting for its upcoming earnings release with bated breath. Coupled with BABA stock's reasonable valuation and its fundamentally strong business model, it could attract value and momentum investors to add more exposure.I provided a bullish BABA update in my previous article in early March 2024.
