I am working in a public listed company. I do not have any access to the company good or bad news before the public announcement. However, we can roughly able to gauge whether the company is doing well financially or not from our bonus and pay increment. Therefore, the public company staff will have the advantage to decide early whether to buy or to sell the company shares in good time or bad time respectively.

My 2024 Mid-Year Recap
My 2024 mid-year recap is summarised as follow: My rate of return was -5.37%. I have traded 40 stocks which comprising of 10 profitable stocks & 3 loss stocks and the overall winning rate was 25%. I have received the most profit from investing in $Bank of America(BAC)$

I will not add $The Magnificent Seven ETF(MAGS)$ and $Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF(MGK)$ in my portfolio as I have already invested in $Global X Nasdaq 100 Covered Call ETF(QYLD)$ which will distribute monthly dividends and their stock constituents also contain Magnificent 7.
My target price for $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ is $300. I will not buy or sell Tesla shares, just wait and see until Tesla’s earnings report is released.
Stock investment is not like gambling, we need to do alot of homework in order not to incur huge losses. Conducting thorough research like analyzing the financial performance of the companies & company fundamentals, be updated on the market trends & geopolitical factors are some of important factors in making stock investment decision.

I have started my exciting and enjoyable stock investment journey with Tiger Brokers in August 2021. The first stock that I have purchased was $LION OCBC HSTECH ETF S$(HST.SI)$ and I was stuck with the stock since then as the stock price has not recovered to my cost price and it is the highest negative PnL% stock in my portfolio. I will not go with the market flow as I am a long term investor, I will try my best to invest in blue chip stocks with high dividends and always try to use auto-investing method to average down my cost price whenever the stock price has dropped below my cost price. Auto-invest starts with a very small amount from $2 which is very affordable for most small investors like me. I am very happy that my P&L calendar for the month of March 2024 shows a profit of 2.4% as shown in the screenshot below especially after many months in deep red for my portfolio. The S&P 500 posted its best first-quarter performance going back to 2019, up 10%, as stocks rode a wave of enthusiasm around the prospect of rate cuts coming later this year, as well as the potential of artificial intelligence to bolster corporate profits. Most of my US stocks are in green but most of my Singapore stocks are in red. Hopefully with the coming interest rate cuts, everyone’s portfolio will turn to deep green 🍀 🍀 soon and our stock price will keep going “To the Moon” 🚀🚀
