(Event entry) What are your options trading strategies?

For this topic, the most effective and well known options income strategy will be the answer:"The Wheel" Why "The Wheel"?1. It only uses single legged options. This reduces trading commission and possible input mistakes.2. Low maintanance. The ideal timeframe to sell options is around 45 days. This means that someone using this strategy only has to put in some work every 45 days cycle.3. Not using leverage. This strategy uses zero leverage with the full collateral in cash/stock. This means wins and losses wont be magnified. As such, the capital is protected and losses would not be large. Pitfalls of "The Wheel".1. Vulnerable to huge downward moves. One may get trapped if the underlying dips and options premium collected&

Most memorable investment in 2022 - ESSC

My most memorable investment is also my last investment in 2021 and my first investment in 2022, $East Stone Acquisition Corp(ESSC)$It started in Dec 2021 when ESSC gathered tons of interest as a "gamma squeeze" candidate. All the hype about "short squeeze" and "gamma squeeze" after a successful squeeze in GME and AMC coupled with rise of "SPACs".Only the first ever squeeze is real, any subsequent ones spotted by retailer investors, are also easily spotted by market makers and resolved before it can happen. Now, for the whole story, here is what happened in 2021/12/14:On the week of options expiry (OPEX), it suged to 26.27 at the peak. This is known as a "gamma squ

Best Options Income Strategy: The Wheel (with example)

After going through the basic framework of The Wheel, now is time to go into more details with exact example and numbers. Here is the flowchart of how The Wheel works:Here is a actual example using one of my favourite US stock, $Las Vegas Sands(LVS)$ .PUT strike price selection:3 common methods, 1. Technical analysis2. Looking at Options Chain3. Mental pricing1. Technical analysisIt involves looking at the charts and identifying key support levels. This chart is from 20 Apr 2022.A good support level from this chart would be $34 since prices bounced off from this level multiple times though it was broken briefly once. 2. Looking at Options ChainSelected expiry is 27 May(37 Days-til-expiry),

2023 Mid Year Recap

Strategy Slow and steady wins the race. That is specially true in investing. The best example would be Warren Buffett. Start early, and let compound interest do its work. Therefore, it is recommended to buy and hold stocks of good companies ot just ETFs. The Markets As everyone knows and proven by history, "Markets only goes up". This is attributed to many things, but that is just a fact until proven wrong. Therefore, my strategy going forward would be to hold ETFs like $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$ , and not worry about its movements. Dividends Holding blue chip dividend stocks is a good idea too, few of those would be $McDonald's(MCD)$  ,$Procte

End of daily pre-market BOOMs and BUSTs

Thanks for all the support, was hoping to hit 1000 followers but it didnt happen... Kind of stagnant after 900 followers. Been using daily top premarket movers in my premarket regime, thus decided to share it daily here.Sometimes there are audit checks so it defeats the purpose of sharing it here as people will sometimes see the post quite late. Going overseas for couple weeks so decided to stop these posts totally. Thanks for all the support and wish everyone good, consistant profits in the market.
