Replying to @koolgal:Gosh. Singapore needs to employ lots of cleaners for this//@koolgal:๐๐๐I am super excited with the news that China and Singapore have officially agreed to implement a visa free entry policy for their citizens, allowing stays up to 30 days. This 30 day mutual visa exemption starts on February 9. I am currently invested in $Genting Sing(G13.SI)$ that would greatly benefit from this new visa free stay of 30 days. $Genting Sing(G13.SI)$ . Genting Singapore owns Resorts World Sentosa, Un
Replying to @koolgal:YOLO! I think im too late for tat lol//@koolgal:๐๐๐YOLO - You Only Live Once! But if you FOMO - Fear of Missing Out - You May Lose It All! That's the painful lesson I learnt when I jumped in to invest in $DiDi Global Inc.(DIDIY)$ when it IPO and ultimately delisted. However painful the lesson maybe, it serves as a reminder that it is important to be cautious and do my own research before rushing in to invest in an IPO. Warren Buffett once said "The first rule of an investment is don't lose money. And the second rule is don't forget the first rule."
Replying to @koolgal:Congrats Koolgal. My google is not as profitable as urs, but im still holding as well ๐//@koolgal:๐๐๐I am so lucky to have invested in $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ as it is up 47% year todate. It is part of the Magnificent 7! It takes lots of courage and belief in Google to hold onto it when it fell to a low of USD 84.86 last year. However when I ask myself what is the future potential growth of Google, the answer is crystal clear! With a dominant market share of 92% in Search Engine globally, Google is one stock that will simply continue its exponenti
Replying to @koolgal:Yeah, I would c it as an opportunity to grab cheaper prices. Be patient n reward will fruit later. Dca is the key ๐//@koolgal:๐๐๐In times of global uncertainty, strategic investing becomes more critical than ever. With the escating Israel Iran conflict shaking the markets, should we sell in panic or seize the opportunity to buy the dip? As for me, I would continue to stay invested by dollar cost averaging into SPLG and IAU ETFs. $SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF(SPLG)$ tracks the S&P500 Index, offering broad exposure to the best and strongest US Large Cap stocks. It has a low expense ratio
Replying to @koolgal:Congrats to everyone out there who has been making good fortune this year. Christmas is around the corner n yes of course Santa Rally is indeed happening haha hoho ๐//@koolgal:๐๐๐December may tease us with a Santa Rally but my sleigh is powered by discipline. Dollar cost averaging isn't glamorous. It is like taking my daily dose of vitamins. I may not notice the difference daily but overtime the magic of compounding happens. So I will keep adding to $STI ETF(ES3.SI)$ $SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF(SPYM)$ and yes,
Replying to @koolgal:Stocks r always better than properties!! //@koolgal:๐๐๐The recent rate cut of 0.5% by the Feds has resulted in a sizzling hot market. The market monitor in my Tiger App has been working overtime with many of my stocks and ETFs hitting 52 week high. My strategy is simple - Buy and Hold Index ETFs and Quality stocks long term and allow the magic of compounding to unfold. A good example is my ETF $SPDR Portfolio S&P 1500 Composite Stock Market ETF(SPTM)$ which tracks the best US Large Cap, Mid Cap and Small Cap stocks in just 1 trade. It is currently up 33%! I believe that the stock mark
Replying to @koolgal:Nice price my fren ๐๐ป//@koolgal:๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎMy Best Performing Singapore Stock is $DBS GROUP HOLDINGS LTD(D05.SI)$ the largest bank in South East Asia by market capitalisation. In many ways, DBS mirrors my investing journey with Tiger Brokers as it is the 1st stock that I bought through Tiger Brokers. DBS has rewarded my faith in the bank with a Bonus issue for every 10 shares I owned in the latest 4Q23 report. Similarly Tiger Brokers have rewarded me with lots of prizes from stock vouchers, Tiger Coins as well as prizes like Tiger Plushies, Shopping Bags, Rubik Cube and even umbrellas. DBS and Tiger Bro

Replying to @koolgal:Congrats Koolgal! 50% gains on DBS is insane ๐๐ป//@koolgal:๐๐๐ $DBS Group Holdings(D05.SI)$ is one of my best performing Singapore stocks. DBS is also the most valuable Singapore stock with a market capitalisation of SGD 101.18 billion. DBS has rewarded me with generous dividends paid every quarter as well as with capital growth. On top of that I have received bonus stocks from DBS in February this year when it hit a record net profit of SGD 10.3 billion. As the late Charlie Munger likes to say "The Big Money is not in the Buying and Selling but in the Waiting." .
Replying to @koolgal:Haha well said Koolgal ๐๐ป. We just need to learn to be humble haha//@koolgal:๐๐๐If the stock market is a classroom, I would be a student who got smacked with the ruler of reality more than once & laughed about it later. I learn that holding onto a sinking stock is like clinging to a leaky inflatable float in the ocean. Eventually you will sink. Turns out "all in" is a poker move, not an investing strategy. I chased hype once. It was like running after an ice cream truck only to realise it was selling kale. The market taught me that pretending to understand biotech or crypto tokenomics is like nodding along a Shakespeare play. You cl
