//@koolgal:Inflation is now 9.1%, the highest in more than 40 years! It is almost certain that the Feds will be hawkish and raise interest rates. The financial gurus say at least 75 BP or even 100bp. The US markets closed lower today on this negative news. High inflation is like a fire out of control. Interest rate rises is like pouring water over the fire. Hopefully rising interest rate will dampen the spread of fire but not put it out completely. That will be recession! Companies will have to pay higher interest rates for their debts which will impact their profitability. So as an investor, I will seek quality companies in non cyclical industries which will be less volatil

It has caused unnecessary loss of lives and untold hardships not only in Ukraine and Russia but its impact is felt like an earthquake around the world. This war has resulted in skyrocketing food prices, high inflation, rising interest rates and rising energy prices. However there is now a glimmer of hope as Russia today is talking about peace. It is the largest interest rate increase since 1994 and the Feds have signalled that it would continue lifting rates this year at its most rapid in decades! This is to slow down high inflation that is at 40 year high! Superhawk is the term to describe the Feds ' latest action. However Jerome Powell said "We are not trying to induce a recession now. Let's be clear about that." The markets seem to like what he was saying and the US indexes rose after that. Let's hope that recession can be avoided. As always, hope for the best but prepare for the worse. @Mainstreet_Trade

It is the root cause of high inflation, supply disruptions, price shocks, food shortages, high energy prices. Because of the high inflation caused by the Ukrainian war, central governments led by the US Feds had to embark on a hawkish approach to raise interest rates. The world is still feeling the domino effects of the Ukrainian war today even though it is so far away. If I can make 1 wish this Christmas, it would be the cessation of the war in Ukraine and World Peace. @TigerEvents

He is making sure that Tesla stays nimble and the layoffs is only restricted to non production staff. In fact Tesla has done very well in the 1st quarter 2022 as production and deliveries soared 69% and 68% respectively. Tesla's net income was USD3. 3 billion which was a huge jump from previous quarter. The 9% drop in Tesla 's share price was just simply a knee jerk reaction by nervous investors. Actually Berkshire's operating earnings rose to USD9.3 billion from USD6.7 billion in previous year. We learnt about Moving Average (MA), Stochastic Swing Indicator ( KDJ) and Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD). MACD is an important trend indicator.
