8月8日讯，腾讯微视正在进行大规模人员优化，员工裁减比例接近70%。其中部分员工被辞退，部分员工被要求活水（内部职位调岗），部分团队合将并入其它部门。

此外，因为保持最低限度运营的需求，微视的绝大部分对外投放也已经停止。“内部的意思是不继续投入了，除非还有没消耗完的项目”，微视内部一位基干表示。腾讯微视是腾讯旗下短视频创作平台与分享社区，2020年9月，微视DAU正式超过4000万。 (界面新闻)
