Market Closure Schedule for Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day Announced

On September 17, the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing stock exchanges jointly released the 2026 holiday trading schedule for the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day. For the Mid-Autumn Festival, markets will be closed from Friday, September 25, through Sunday, September 27, with regular trading resuming on Monday, September 28. For National Day, markets will be closed from Thursday, October 1, through Wednesday, October 7, with the weekends of Sunday, September 20, and Saturday, October 10, also observed as non-trading days. Regular trading will resume on Thursday, October 8.

To ensure smooth operations after the holidays, the Beijing Stock Exchange has scheduled a system integration test for Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 9:15 AM to 12:00 PM on that date. Meanwhile, the Shanghai and Shenzhen exchanges have also published the trading calendar for the Stock Connect services linking mainland and Hong Kong markets. For the Mid-Autumn Festival, Stock Connect services will be unavailable from Friday, September 25, to Sunday, September 27, and will resume normal operation on Monday, September 28. For National Day, Stock Connect services will be suspended from Thursday, October 1, to Wednesday, October 7, resuming on Thursday, October 8. Additionally, weekend closures apply on Sunday, September 20, and Saturday, October 10. The clearing and settlement arrangements for Stock Connect transactions will follow the guidelines set by the China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited.
