Amazon has officially opened its first Global Warehousing and Distribution (GWD) facility in Shenzhen, making it fully available to sellers. The GWD initiative is part of Amazon's Next Generation Global Selling strategy, designed to provide a comprehensive bulk storage and distribution service near manufacturing hubs. Services include warehousing, customs clearance, cross-border transportation, and inventory redistribution, all seamlessly integrated with Amazon's global Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) network. Currently, the Shenzhen GWD facility supports shipments to Amazon fulfillment centers in the United States. Amazon also announced plans to expand GWD services to the Yangtze River Delta region in the future, with additional support for shipping to fulfillment centers in Europe and Japan, enabling sellers to achieve more flexible and efficient global distribution and replenishment.
