According to the latest data from the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, on December 24, Ping An Life Insurance Company of China, Ltd. increased its stake in China Merchants Bank (03968) by 6.357 million shares. The transaction was executed at a price of HK$51.3494 per share, amounting to a total consideration of approximately HK$326 million. Following this acquisition, the insurer's total shareholding has risen to approximately 878 million shares, representing a stake of 19.13% in the bank.
