Adobe's Chief Executive Shantanu Narayen is not concerned that artificial intelligence will render traditional software obsolete. "I think the naysayers have it completely wrong," he stated in a recent interview. "I actually believe creative companies will have more opportunities than ever before, but we have to navigate this correctly."
He highlighted that Adobe's customer experience solutions serve 70 billion user profiles and support approximately 850 million monthly active users. "That, to me, does not suggest we are on the defensive," Narayen said. "In fact, we will be aggressively delivering results."
The interview coincided with Adobe's launch of a new suite of AI agents for digital marketing and other business functions, named CX Enterprise. Shares of the company rose 1.9% on Monday, although the stock is down 29% year-to-date.
