Singapore Stocks to Watch: Keppel, AEM, UG Healthcare, Pan United, Japfa

THE following companies saw new developments that may affect trading of their securities Monday (Oct 17):

Keppel: Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M), the wholly-owned subsidiary of Keppel Corporation, has completed the modification works for four KFELSB Class jack up rigs on Oct 14.

The rigs, which will be deployed on bareboat charters in Saudi Arabia this month, are being chartered in pairs to Arabian Drilling Company (ADC) and ADES Saudi Limited Company (ADES) respectively. They are expected generate a total charter revenue of about $250 million over three to five years.

AEM: AEM Holdings has lifted its revenue guidance for the FY2022 ending Dec 31 to between $820 million to $850 million. This is compared to its previous guidance of between $670 million to $720 million made on Jan 11.

UG Healthcare: Glove manufacturer UG Healthcare has announced a proposed diversification into active retirement homes and healthcare and wellness centres.

This will be done by an RM100 ($33) acquisition of investment holding company Indigo Teguh, owned by UG Healthcare CEO Lee Keck Keong. Lee holds a total deemed and direct interest of 60.07% of UG Healthcare.

Pan-United Corporation: MIX concrete provider Pan-United Corporation entered into a sale-and-purchase agreement on Friday (Oct 14) to dispose of its 49 per cent stake in Pacific Granitama (PTPG), a company that mines, produces, sells and exports aggregates and other materials from a Riau Island quarry.

Japfa: AGRI-FOOD company Japfa on Friday (Oct 14) said that its China dairy unit AustAsia Investment Holdings, now referred to as AustAsia Group, has filed an application to extend its proposed listing on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong.
