Shandong Port Logistics Group Establishes "Linyi-Qingdao Port" Sea-Rail Intermodal Transport Corridor

Deep News2025-12-25

A sea-rail intermodal container train, fully loaded with Linyi's specialty wood-based panels and small commodities, recently departed from the Linyi Zhubao Jitie Logistics Park with a sounding horn, heading towards Shandong Port 06198601298. Subsequently, the goods will be shipped to overseas markets via sea transport. This marks the inauguration of the "Linyi-Qingdao Port" sea-rail intermodal transport channel developed by Shandong Port Logistics Group, establishing a highly efficient and convenient new international logistics artery for "Made in Linyi."

Linyi possesses a profound industrial foundation, with its wood-based panel industry scale ranking among the top nationally and its small commodity market witnessing vibrant trading activity, leading to enormous annual export demand. Simultaneously, designated as a national comprehensive transport hub, Linyi boasts a well-developed highway and railway network, serving as a pivotal logistics distribution center connecting the north and south and radiating to the east and west.

Leveraging these resource advantages, Shandong Port Logistics Group's Linyi branch and the Linyi representative office collaborated efficiently, deeply engaging with and serving Linyi's dominant industries and commercial enterprises. They conducted comprehensive assessments of logistics needs, promoted the advantages of integrated supply chain services, and facilitated the extension of port functions and resources into the hinterland to support enterprises' efficient global market access.

To reduce overall logistics costs and meet the bulk export demands of enterprises, the business team actively introduced container resources from shipping companies. They established a regular empty container yard at the Linyi Zhubao Jitie Logistics Park, maintaining a reserve of approximately 200 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) of empty containers. This initiative enables export enterprises to access containers "right at their doorstep," significantly enhancing logistics response efficiency and operational convenience.

Concurrently, through coordination with railway departments, the frequency of train services has been increased, achieving a stable schedule of 3-4 departures per week. It is estimated that utilizing this corridor can reduce logistics costs for import and export enterprises by approximately 15%, providing tangible cost savings in "real money" to assist businesses in "trading globally."

Moving forward, Shandong Port Logistics Group will continue to serve and integrate into Linyi's market and industrial system. By consolidating all-element resources including ports, logistics, finance, and information, the group aims to continuously enhance the operational efficiency and service capabilities of the Linyi inland port. This effort seeks to overcome the logistics bottlenecks of "fragmentation, small scale, and slowness" associated with small commodity exports, deeply empower the international development of the Linyi Mall, and inject sustained momentum into improving the quality and efficiency of regional foreign trade.
