US stocks ended Tuesday on a positive note as easing Middle East tensions helped push oil prices lower, boosting overall market sentiment. The dollar weakened, the yield on the 10-year US Treasury fell to 4.62%, gold held steady, and oil prices dropped significantly.
Hong Kong's three major indices opened higher on Wednesday. The Hang Seng Index rose 0.49% to 25,635.24 points, the Hang Seng Tech Index gained 0.75%, and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index climbed 0.65%.
In early trading, tech stocks broadly advanced, with NetEase, JD.com, Meituan, and Alibaba all rising over 1%. The PCB sector opened higher, led by Shenghong Technology, which gained more than 3%. Chinese brokerages were active, with China Merchants Securities up over 1%. In contrast, oil stocks declined, with CNOOC falling nearly 2%.
