Sichuan Aims for Over 85% Green Power Consumption by 2027

Deep News01-13

The "Sichuan Province Action Plan for Building a Full-Cycle, Full-Process Green Manufacturing System" has been issued. The plan proposes to empower the "cluster building and chain strengthening" of key industries and the qualitative improvement and doubling of advantageous industries through green and low-carbon initiatives. Focusing on transforming the clean energy advantage into a green, low-carbon development advantage, it aims to promote green and low-carbon development across the entire production and manufacturing lifecycle and process. By 2027, a preliminary full-cycle, full-process green manufacturing system is expected to be established, with the manufacturing sector's green and low-carbon development level ranking among the top nationally. A new round of green-integrated technological transformation will be completed in key industries and sectors, further reducing energy consumption and carbon emission intensity. The proportion of green power consumption is targeted to reach over 85%, and the output value of green factories is expected to account for 30% of the total output value of manufacturing above a designated size. By 2030, the full-cycle, full-process green manufacturing system is planned to be fundamentally established, with all industrial enterprises above a designated size completing at least one round of green-integrated technological transformation, making green manufacturing a universal form of new industrialization.
