Can $250,000 in Google, SPCX, S&P and Nasdaq 100 Beat Inflation? "China's Buffett" Duan Yongping Says Yes

"Chinese Buffett" Tracking09-22 14:18

Value investor Duan Yongping said on September 21 that a user's $100,000 asset allocation might outperform inflation over 10 years. The user asked Duan whether a portfolio comprising $100,000 in Google, $50,000 in SPCX, $50,000 in S&P 500, and $50,000 in Nasdaq 100 could beat inflation in a decade. Duan replied, 'I think it's possible, but I'm not sure Mr. Inflation agrees.'

The portfolio totals $250,000, with Google stock accounting for $100,000 and the remaining three indices $50,000 each. Duan's playful reference to 'Mr. Inflation' acknowledged uncertainty.
