Jiangsu Tongli Risheng Machinery: Energy Storage Station to Directly Supply Green Power to Data Centers in Qingyang "Eastern Data, Western Computing" Industrial Park

Deep News2025-09-26

Recently, an investor inquired on an interactive platform about Jiangsu Tongli Risheng Machinery Co.,Ltd.'s current layout in energy conservation and consumption reduction for computing centers, the company's specific advantages in green power direct connection and computing-power coordination, and how the company's related technologies ensure data center security.

In response, a representative from Jiangsu Tongli Risheng Machinery explained that in March this year, the company, together with its controlling subsidiary Beijing Tianqi Hongyuan New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., successfully signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Qingyang Municipal Government in Gansu Province. According to the agreement, the three parties will cooperate around energy storage equipment manufacturing bases and energy storage station construction. The first phase project includes building energy storage equipment production lines and independent energy storage stations. After completion, the energy storage station will directly supply green power to data centers in Qingyang's "Eastern Data, Western Computing" industrial park, achieving computing-power coordination. While ensuring power supply reliability, it will serve as backup power sources, increase the proportion of green electricity in computing centers, and further reduce energy costs for computing centers.

According to the Jiangsu Tongli Risheng Machinery representative, computing centers require power supply reliability of 99.99%. The traditional architecture involves two power sources connected through UPS plus diesel generators, but diesel generators have disadvantages such as high initial investment, high maintenance costs, and low utilization rates. The company introduces green power plus energy storage to form microgrids. If the system reliability can be proven higher than diesel generators, it could theoretically replace partial UPS and diesel generator backup power systems. Currently, this project has been established under the Beijing Association for Science and Technology and has conducted "preliminary fault tree calculations" to design a wind-solar-storage system with power supply reliability higher than diesel generators to meet IDC computer rooms' 99.99% power supply reliability requirements.

Additionally, Jiangsu Tongli Risheng Machinery's African Kenya microgrid project is part of the World Bank's "Lighting Africa" initiative. The company successfully put four Kenya island microgrid projects into operation in 2022. The successful operation of the Kenya microgrid project validated the feasibility, safety, and stability of the company's independently developed technology. The company accumulated extensive microgrid construction experience from this project and integrates these experiences and technologies into data center microgrid construction to achieve stability and security in data center power consumption.

Notably, on September 26, the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments issued a notice on "Several Measures to Strengthen the Cultivation of Innovative Digital Economy Enterprises," which mentioned strengthening computing power resource supply support. The notice calls for deepening the implementation of the "Eastern Data, Western Computing" project, implementing relevant policy document requirements, adhering to national hub node computing power scale deployment, and continuously optimizing demand assurance in hotspot application areas. The Jiangsu Tongli Risheng Machinery representative stated that the company entered the new energy field through its controlling stake in Tianqi Hongyuan. Tianqi Hongyuan focuses on core technology research and development in energy storage and microgrid industries, with rich experience in energy storage system integration, battery management, and large-scale production, particularly at the industry forefront in immersion liquid cooling technology applications. Tianqi Hongyuan firmly grasps the major development trend of computing-power coordination, actively participating in the construction of the national computing power center's "eight major nodes" cities, exploring intelligent scheduling models for computing-power coordination, and injecting new momentum for low-carbon development into national computing power hub nodes.
