The Dafeng Port Railway Branch Line has achieved full connectivity with the completion of its beam installation and closure, marking the successful conclusion of the main construction phase. This branch line is a major project designated by the National Development and Reform Commission and four other ministries, with an approved preliminary design budget of 4.54 billion yuan.
Construction commenced on October 1, 2022, spanning a total of 38 months. Upon becoming operational, the project will establish a "highway-railway-waterway" multimodal transport framework. This development is set to further enhance the core competitiveness of the Dafeng Port area.
It will facilitate the conversion of port "throughput" into "economic growth increments," thereby more effectively supporting the high-quality development of Yancheng.
