Guangxi Uses AI as Bridge to Collaborate with ASEAN in Exploring New Blue Ocean of Digital Economy

Deep News12-27 09:25

The 2025 "AI Empowering Thousands of Industries Super League" (abbreviated as "A-Super League") closing ceremony, "A-Super Night," was held on the evening of December 26 in Nanning, Guangxi. The event showcased Guangxi's achievements in empowering industrial development with AI technology through diverse formats including digital avatar interactions, excellent project roadshows, major outcome releases, and humanoid robot performances.

Wei Tao, Chairman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, appeared at the event via his "digital avatar." He introduced that this year's competition featured a total of 20 tracks blending traditional and emerging sectors, balancing technology, industry, and international cooperation. It covered 31 Chinese provinces and 11 ASEAN countries, attracting 10,447 teams from China and abroad, including 604 teams from ASEAN nations. The event generated over 74 million RMB in "unveiling the list and hanging the commander's standard" projects, surfaced 93 excellent application scenarios, accumulated 202 new technology exhibits, facilitated 40 projects reaching preliminary investment intentions with capital, incorporated 57 technologies into the scope of achievement transformation and application, and saw some enterprises reach cooperation agreements with ASEAN. Guangxi will continue to use technology as a bridge to build a China-ASEAN AI cooperation hub.

During the roadshow segment, outstanding teams from five key tracks, including culture and tourism, sports, and automotive, took the stage to share innovative application cases of AI technology in their respective fields. Fan Zhisong, Creative Marketing Manager of Thailand's Zugou Co., Ltd., explained that his company won the competition's ASEAN Future Unicorn Award with its self-developed unplugged vehicle U-turn machine. This system possesses core functions for safe automatic vehicle U-turns and risk early warning, has now integrated AI risk warning and intelligent scheduling capabilities, and is already deployed in locations such as Bangkok, Thailand. In the future, the company hopes to leverage China's advanced AI technology advantages to further enhance the system's intelligence and safety, and promote the project's implementation in China.

Chen Li, Co-founder of Yushu Technology, appeared with an embodied intelligent robot, which performed a highly difficult backflip. He believes intelligent robots will become the next consumer wave and proposed establishing a "Guangxi-Yushu-ASEAN Embodied Intelligence Innovation Center." Starting with deploying technology R&D and localized innovation, the center would set up operational centers in Guangxi and ASEAN countries to promote the development and application of artificial intelligence technology.

Guangxi officials stated they will fully leverage their unique advantages in connectivity with ASEAN, including geographical location, language data, and platforms, to accelerate the development of new quality productive forces with AI as the engine. This aims to respond to ASEAN's expectations and help ASEAN master the initiative in its own development. During the event, four companies collectively released several new AI products, including a robot microorganism detection AI smart lab and a Malaysia oil palm industry "Huiyan AI" green prevention and control decision-making platform. They also released the CSI ASEAN Digital Economy Theme Index and the "AI Folk Wisdom Reader," while simultaneously announcing that Qinzhou City in Guangxi will be the invited city for the 2026 "A-Super League."
