From October 20 to 22, along the banks of Shanghai's Huangpu River, the 2026 Sustainable Global Leaders Conference will return once again. Nobel laureates and Turing Award winners will take the stage to discuss the future and trends of technology, and there will be a live dialogue between internet-famous professors Ian McFarlane and Xiang Biao, who offer relief from anxiety and the era of intense competition.

On the morning of October 15, Xinqing Town partnered with Agricultural Bank of China Limited (ABC) to carry out a "Delivering Warmth, Benefiting Livelihoods" visitation and relief activity.
During this initiative, more than 30 households with elderly residents over 60 years of age facing hardship were visited. Rice, flour, cooking oil, and other winter daily necessities were delivered door to door, bringing the warmth of the Party and the government directly to the people and ensuring that vulnerable residents can get through the winter warmly and live with peace of mind.
At each household, staff members gathered detailed information about residents' recent health conditions, sources of family income, the implementation of medical insurance reimbursement policies, and winter heating preparations. They also recorded the practical difficulties and concerns raised by the residents. A problem ledger will be established afterward to follow up and coordinate solutions.
During the visits, staff from Xinqing Town conducted on-site outreach on social assistance policies, providing item-by-item explanations covering the eligibility criteria and review and approval procedures for minimum living guarantee applications, the standards for relief and support for destitute persons, and the rules for identifying marginal low-income families. They also answered questions on the spot regarding application channels for assistance and processing timelines.
In response to the fact that many of the visited residents were elderly and relatively lacking in risk awareness, Agricultural Bank of China Limited (ABC) simultaneously carried out outreach on preventing telecommunications and online fraud targeting elderly groups. Using real cases, they broke down common scams targeting the elderly, such as "impersonating public security or judicial authorities to demand transfers," "impersonating children or supervisors to request emergency loans," "overpriced health product fraud," and "fake prize-winning scams." Residents were reminded to firmly remember: "Do not trust unfamiliar phone calls, do not disclose personal information, and do not transfer money to unfamiliar accounts."
People's livelihoods are no small matter, and every detail reflects genuine care. This initiative not only delivered rice and oil supplies to the homes of residents in need, but also explained social assistance policies clearly and thoroughly, and provided fraud prevention reminders down to the finest details. In the next step, Xinqing Town will continue to approach its work with compassion and a sense of responsibility, persistently following up on the concerns collected during visits, dynamically implementing various livelihood safeguard measures, and using concrete actions to support the steady well-being of vulnerable residents, ensuring that every household in need can spend the cold winter safely, warmly, and comfortably.
