The trading calendars for the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays have been officially released by the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing stock exchanges on September 17. This announcement provides clear guidance on when the markets will be closed and when normal operations will resume during these holiday periods.
According to the official schedule, the A-share market will be closed from Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27 for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Regular trading activities will resume on Monday, September 28. For the National Day holidays, the market will close from Thursday, October 1 through Wednesday, October 7, with trading set to recommence on Thursday, October 8. Additionally, the weekend closures will apply for Sunday, September 20, and Saturday, October 10.
To ensure seamless trading operations after the holidays, the Beijing Stock Exchange will conduct a system integration test on Tuesday, October 6, from 9:15 AM to 12:00 PM. This proactive measure is designed to verify the reliability of trading systems before market resumption.
The Shanghai and Shenzhen exchanges have also specified the arrangements for the Stock Connect services during these periods. The Hong Kong Stock Connect will be unavailable from Friday, September 25 to Sunday, September 27, and will resume on Monday, September 28. For the National Day period, connectivity will be suspended from Thursday, October 1 through Wednesday, October 7, restarting on Thursday, October 8. The usual weekend breaks on September 20 and October 10 also apply to these services.
Clearing and settlement procedures during the holiday period will be carried out in accordance with the arrangements set by the China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited, ensuring all post-trade processes are handled correctly during the closure period.
