BUTONG Group Buys Back 110,000 Shares for HKD 3.87 Million; Outstanding Float Trimmed to 88.64 Million

Bulletin Express10-16 12:40

BUTONG Group reported a share repurchase of 110,000 ordinary shares on 15 October 2026, according to its Next Day Disclosure Return filed with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 16 October 2026.

The on-market buyback was executed at prices ranging from HKD 35.10 to HKD 35.56 per share, for an aggregate consideration of HKD 3.87 million. The transaction represents 0.12% of the company’s 88.75 million issued shares (excluding treasury shares) prior to the repurchase.

After the transaction, BUTONG Group’s outstanding share count declined to 88.64 million, while treasury shares rose to 2.11 million. The total issued share capital remains unchanged at 90.75 million shares.

The repurchase forms part of the mandate granted by shareholders on 5 June 2026, which authorises the company to buy back up to 9.03 million shares. Including the latest transaction, 1.64 million shares—equivalent to 1.82% of the issued share base when the mandate was approved—have been repurchased under this authority. The mandate restricts any new share issuance or sale of treasury shares for 30 days following the latest buyback, setting a moratorium until 14 November 2026.

The board confirmed that all repurchases complied with Hong Kong listing rules and relevant regulations, with company secretary Chen Xiqin signing the filing.
