Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (Singtel) (Z74) on Aug, 27 2026 detailed a new multi-year plan that positions the group as “the world’s most intelligent connectivity company,” anchored by artificial-intelligence deployment across consumer, enterprise and network operations.
The company identified three priorities—scaling its consumer market through a tri-brand approach, expanding enterprise services globally and reinforcing technology leadership—to be “powered by AI” and supported by operational efficiency initiatives. Management said more than 50 AI initiatives across eight value pools are expected to contribute 5–10% of FY27 EBIT.
Operational targets include a 30% reduction in IT tickets, over 30% less effort for new feature releases, a 15% cut in mobile truck rolls and a shift to “autonomous recovery” with a 1:5:60 detect-triage-resolve ambition in minutes. On the customer front, the group is aiming for a 17% reduction in main-brand churn, more than 25% improvement in customer-satisfaction scores and over 60% AI-led care resolutions, with digital channels projected to handle about 50% of transactions.
For the consumer segment, Singtel reported approximately 50,000 mobile net additions in 1Q FY27, a 20% year-on-year rise in premium subscriber numbers and a price premium of roughly 20% versus competitors. In the enterprise segment, the company cited industry-leading revenue contribution and plans to leverage its 5G+ and AI co-innovation labs to deliver resilient, autonomous solutions across sectors such as public safety, healthcare and finance.
Singtel reiterated that these initiatives are intended to create “profitable, quality growth,” achieve a “step-change in efficiency” and sustain long-term returns for shareholders.
