The latest fuel price update for Shanxi Province has been officially released, with new rates taking effect from 24:00 on August 28, 2026.
According to the official announcement, the retail prices of gasoline and diesel (standard products) within the province will see an increase of 375 yuan and 360 yuan per tonne, respectively. As a result, the maximum retail price for No. 92 gasoline will be 8.03 yuan per liter, while No. 95 gasoline will rise to 8.67 yuan per liter.
The adjustment follows the fuel pricing information published by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on its official website. This marks the 16th price adjustment notice for refined oil products in Shanxi in 2026, aligning with national guidelines.
Regarding No. 98 gasoline, its specific price will be independently determined by refined oil production and operation enterprises based on market conditions, in accordance with the notice (NDRC Power [2015] No. 10) on lowering domestic refined oil prices. The maximum retail price for standard diesel will be set in line with the automotive diesel standard at the same stage.
Other related pricing policies will be implemented according to the NDRC notice (NDRC Price [2016] No. 64) on further improving the refined oil pricing mechanism. All wholesale and retail enterprises in the refined oil sector are required to strictly adhere to the NDRC pricing policies and must not impose or collect any additional fees beyond the nationally regulated fuel prices.
This announcement was issued by the Development and Reform Commission of Shanxi Province on August 28, 2026.
