In December 2025, cargo and mail traffic, measured in cargo and mail revenue ton kilometers (RFTK), saw an 8.07% year-on-year increase. During the same month, the company launched or resumed several key routes in its domestic and international/regional markets.
In the domestic market, new routes were introduced, including Shanghai Pudong-Panzhihua, Changchun-Wuhan, and Kunming-Qionghai. The frequency was increased on routes such as Shanghai Hongqiao-Lanzhou, Shanghai Hongqiao-Changsha, Shanghai Pudong-Kunming, Shanghai Pudong-Chengdu Shuangliu, Beijing Daxing-Dehong Mangshi, and Chengdu Tianfu-Ningbo.
In the international and regional markets, new routes were launched, including Shanghai Pudong-Auckland-Buenos Aires and Shijiazhuang-Vientiane. The frequency was enhanced on routes such as Shanghai Pudong-Bangkok, Beijing Daxing-Vientiane, Nanjing-Hong Kong (China), Kunming-Colombo, and Hangzhou-Ho Chi Minh City.
The company added 5 aircraft to its fleet in December 2025, comprising 2 B787 series passenger aircraft, 2 C909s, and 1 C919. Simultaneously, 4 A320 series passenger aircraft were retired. As of the end of December 2025, the company's total operating fleet consisted of 826 aircraft.
