消息面上，Arm要求取消长期合作伙伴高通公司使用Arm知识产权设计芯片的许可。Arm已向高通发出60天的通知，通知其取消所谓的架构许可协议。高通每年销售数以亿计的处理器——大多数安卓智能手机都使用这种技术。

如果这一取消生效，该公司可能不得不停止销售占其约390亿美元收入很大一部分的产品，或者面临巨额损失索赔。2022年，Arm起诉高通，称后者在收购CPU初创公司Nuvia后，“滥用”前者对Nuvia的知识产权授权。
