On October 27, the market opened higher but trended lower throughout the day. The ChiNext Index dropped more than 3%, the STAR 50 Index fell over 4%, and more than 4,900 individual stocks declined.
In response, Hu Xijin posted on Weibo (WB), saying: "Based on my little more than three years of experience, I cannot understand today's stock market. The main reason is that overseas markets are performing so well, and there is plenty of positive news. After 10 a.m. I got busy and did not have time to check the market. I just looked, and I was stunned."
