As of 2025, the combined market value of Hubei-based A-share companies has officially exceeded the ¥2 trillion milestone, while their research and development intensity now ranks third across the country. Additionally, the region's initial public offering fundraising scale has secured a spot among the nation's top five, according to a newly released industry report.
On September 17, the Yangtze River Industrial Group published its Hubei Province Listed Company Development Report (2026), which highlights these key achievements. The report notes that by the end of 2025, the total number of A-share listed companies nationwide reached 5,477, with Hubei contributing 154 firms.
This places Hubei in tenth position nationally and second within the central China region, trailing only Anhui province, which boasts 186 listed companies.
