From December 19 to 20, the "Jiangsu Craftsmen" vocational skills competition—2025 Jiangsu Artificial Intelligence Technology Application Skills Competition—was successfully held at Zhenjiang Technician College in Jiangsu Province. The event, guided by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security and hosted by Zhenjiang Technician College with support from Jiangsu Newland Era Technology Co., Ltd., attracted nearly 100 participants from across the province, featuring intense and exciting competition.
The competition adopted an individual format, divided into student and professional categories. The content and evaluation criteria strictly followed the new occupational requirements for "AI Engineering Technicians," the National Vocational Skills Standards for AI Engineering Technicians, and relevant national competition norms. It focused on assessing participants' expertise and practical skills in three key areas: natural language processing, computer vision technology, and comprehensive engineering applications.
Zhenjiang Technician College placed high importance on organizing the event, establishing a leadership team with seven specialized working groups covering coordination, competition affairs, volunteer services, guest reception, logistics, publicity, and arbitration. Pre-competition meetings ensured seamless collaboration and task execution, laying a solid foundation for the event's success.
On competition day, participants arrived punctually, completed registration and draw procedures, and entered the venue in an orderly manner. The 3.5-hour contest consisted of four modules: theoretical assessment, natural language processing application, computer vision application, and comprehensive engineering application. Graded on a 100-point scale, the competition emphasized hands-on practical evaluation. Participants demonstrated composure, focus, and professional proficiency, showcasing their solid knowledge and practical experience.
As a key skills exchange platform in Jiangsu's AI sector, the event not only provided a stage for talent to display their abilities but also inspired professionals to deepen their expertise in AI technology, injecting new vitality into regional AI industry development.
In recent years, Zhenjiang Technician College has actively responded to the digital economy era, adhering to the principle of "promoting learning and teaching through competition." By integrating competition outcomes with teaching practices and strengthening industry-education collaboration, the college has achieved significant results in cultivating AI talent. Hosting this provincial competition will further enhance participants' professional competence and competitiveness in AI while driving deeper application and promotion of AI technology in education, contributing to the cultivation of high-quality digital professionals and regional digital economy growth.
