Shares of DouYu International Holdings Limited (NASDAQ: DOYU), a leading Chinese game-centric live streaming platform, plunged by 5.32% on September 12, 2024, after the company reported disappointing financial results for the second quarter of 2024.

The company's livestreaming revenue, which accounts for a significant portion of its total revenue, dropped by a staggering 37.2% compared to the same period last year, attributed to the soft macroeconomic environment and product discounting.
